Ajsa Samia`s International Oriental Dancing School from Cape Town.

The belly dance students will perform a variety of styles on all levels,

Ajsa Samia has been a driving force in the elevation of Culture in South Africa, especially in her forte – performing art in the form of Dance!  In all her work her focus is on the uplifting of society and the bonding of people across all divides.

Ajsa Samia is also the director of The Oriental Dance Theatre, Palace of the Winds from Cape Town, which is the most professional Belly Dancing group in South Africa. As a registered non -profit organization, Palace of the Winds (NPO 052-395) is involved in lots of community work, organizing and supporting charity projects.

 

Ajsa Samia and Palace of the Winds are the initiators and organizers of the annual International Oriental Dance Festival in South Africa. The Festival is a charity event in aid of The Saartjie Baartman Centre for abused Women and Children in Athlone. Last year’s Festival was visited by approximately 15 000 people. The 4th International Oriental Dance Festival will be held on 23 -25 October 2009 in Cape Town. The Festival opens with a spectacular Gala Evening on

 23 October 2009, where international and local professional belly dancers will perform.  The Fringe program will be held at the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town from 24-25 October 2009. There will be performances, workshops by international teachers, a bazaar, drumming…and much more.
